This kit is versatile and very useful. I was provided this product to test for free in exchange for my unbiased and honest review and these are my thoughts on the kit.

1. I found the ability to change out brush ends helpful and it cuts down on clutter...my only problem throughout the entire experience is that the bristle/pin brush did get stuck a few times and I had to put forth some effort to get it off the handle, beyond that...my experience has been a pleasant one.

2. The Bristle/Pin brush is great for the every day grooming needs and I found it worked best with our long haired dogs. They did not seem uncomfortable and they enjoyed the experience.

3. The Slicker Brush is my short-haired boxer's favorite thing. When she sees the brush she wants me to brush her and stands still while I do so with little to no effort on my part. It also helps reduce excess hair during these hotter months.

4. The Raker is great for our outside / long haired dogs. Matted hair happens, and to have a device that is easy to use, non-painful for the dogs, and functional is great.

The materials that the brushes are made of are of good quality and sturdy. I also found the ebook and replacement warranty appealing. Overall I liked the brushes and feel that they are a good buy.

As you know, we are a tech filled world and our house is like many others... with ipads, phones, e-readers, multiple laptops... yep. 
We also are on the go a lot in our house with relatives in other states and a Summer already filled with outside plans.
Traveling with tech means having charging devices and with a family on the go, sometimes we are places where our phones or ipads are dying and we need a charge fast...

The +Lifeguard Mini Portable Charger works great in a bind. It is small, easy to carry, and it holds its charge for a long time, enabling you to charge your phone when there is an emergency.  I just keep it in my bag.

Here are the facts on the charger:

1. It is lightweight and small, the add says it is the size of a lipstick tube and while I found it a little larger than that, it fits inside my small hand with no problem, which means it also fits inside my mag and I can carry it everywhere without adding bulk.

2. It comes with an apple compatible charging cord, but your own cord will fit with the device just fine. It also has its own charging cord (which I have used with my kindle as well...added bonus!). 

3. There is a blue light that indicates when it is charging and it holds its charge for a very long time, I have had the charger for weeks now and tested it this morning with my phone and it began to charge it immediately. 

The charger provides a full charge for a phone in about five hours and a laptop in about twelve. 

Overall I found this charger to be great for the price.

It is important to note that this is not a tweezer for every day usage like tweezing eyebrows or facial hair, these tweezers are for a specific purpose. I found them most effective with splinters.

I loathe Splinters more than anything on earth... but these little yellow beauties really make removal a painless task. 

First, The metal used with these tweezers is very high quality. It is thick and very springy. I also found them to be quite sturdy in my hand. There is a slight texture to the yellow portion of the tweezers as well that gives you a nice grip.

Second, the way in which the metal tips of the tweezers are made, they are especially helpful with splinters that are problematic to extract with other normal tweezers. They need less of a surface area to work with and they are accurate because of the fine point. Again, the steadiness that the handles allow also mean that this is a quick and painless process, which I like.

The price is affordable for high quality and professional grade tweezers...these are not bargain bin tweezers and so $9.99 is reasonable and I did not think the price was problematic, especially for the level of quality one gets with the product.

When researching the Item, it is also interesting to note that some other customers used the tweezers to remove ticks, which is a process that can be problematic, so something to consider as summer approaches.

With this super light and compact wall charger one can:
1. Charge up to four USB devices at the same time with ease.
2. The Device supports all 5V power sources and thus it is very versatile and you do not have to have multiple chargers for different devices, something a tech savvy person like myself really finds helpful. 
3. The device can charge without any sort of overheating problems... I charged an iphone, two ipads, and a kindle without any problem at all, as seen above.   
4. This charger packs a powerful punch AND has overvoltage and over-current protection... again I had four things charging at the same time with absolutely no problems...this is with an OLD outlet in a very old house so I felt very comfortable with it.
5. The Blue light at the bottom of the device indicates that the charger is working properly.

What I loved about this is the small and light nature of the device...when we travel...we travel with tech and so I do not have to take a ton of separate chargers...just my cords and this base will do and it weighs almost nothing AND it is small.
Wonderful!

The price is awesome too.... $14.95... I have seen some really expensive ones out there.

My Observations:

1. I found the Clippers to be easy to grasp, not too flimsy, and well put together.  They were not hard to use nor did I feel like they would buckle under pressure.

2. The metal is heavy and sharp, they cut through Lizzie's nails with ease and she did not even flinch. I found this to be a VERY positive effect.

3. The nail file and close button are features that I found great for aftercare and storage.

4. I have purchased more expensive clippers in the past and these are great for the price, we had NO lizzie unhappiness.

Amish Cooking Silicone Goves

I did not expect to like these gloves, when I saw individual fingers marked out with my tiny hands I was worried...but I found them to fit well and work like a charm. 

Here is my review for some pretty sturdy and creative gloves!

What I thought:

These gloves are sturdy, thick, and very easy to use. I found them up to the task of protecting my hands in very extreme temperatures and I loved the design and extra features that come with the gloves.

1. The silicone is VERY well made and sturdy... I used these gloves when I was making cast iron cornbread and I had no problems with extreme heat. I also noticed that each side has its own design printed in on the glove to help with grip and extra padding and protection for the user. The Heart design on the outer part of the glove allows for some space between glove and hot objects to add a layer of protection without bulk. There is also a textured inside of the glove that does the same thing, this is useful without weighing the glove down.

2. I love the design of the gloves, they are unique but offer more security when wearing them. I have smaller hands and I worried that this would be an issue, but they fit inside well and the gloves worked properly. When my fingers slid in they did not feel bulky at all and I was able to move pots and pans off hot surfaces or out of the oven with ease

3. They are durable, Unlike the cheaper cloth varieties, I know I will not need gloves for a while. These things are STURDY, they are a bit heavier than your average pot holder, but they do not weigh you down as a user.

I am always slightly skeptical about hand lotion because I do not often use it. Mainly, I have a problem with hand lotion because it usually is too strong in the fragrance department or it leaves my hands feeling overly greasy and I loathe that.

For those two reasons, I often steer clear of any sort of hand lotion, only using it when my hands are really dry....

The Lelia Sea hand lotion has a very light and pleasant fragrance, it in no way is overpowering and does not interfere with any scent that I may be wearing at the time. I found that I liked it and was not bothered by it at all.

The texture of the lotion when you apply it is very silky. I was worried initially because I thought the silkiness would translate to greasy, but within a few seconds of rubbing it in, I found that the lotion was quick absorbing and did not leave a greasy residue at all.

Overall I believe this is a really nice hand lotion, one that I would not mind applying more regularly than I have prior because of its lack of overpowering smell and its lack of a greasy after effect.

As I state in my small intro video... I do not like diet books, I am pretty bias against them because I do not like these fad ideas where if you eat only one way and limit yourself so extensively that you are in torture every time you eat... that it does anything positive to your life.

What I do enjoy about Rachel's book is that it is not a diet really....

You are not overwhelmingly restricted, the book is common sense...not limited and really is more about healthy and intelligent choices when trying to lose and maintain your weight.

What I like:

-Pires is honest, she is not a Doctor, she is not an expert, she is taking her experiences and her own personal research and telling the reader what worked for her after years of diet failure.  I like this honesty because a lot of diet books are not this way.

-Pires points fingers at the money making and sometimes dangerous fad diets out there including the Atkinson's diet...which I loathe. 

-She talks about paying attention to healthy choices, but also eating what you want to eat in moderation. Furthermore, she notes that just because it sounds healthy...does not mean it is the lower calorie option...she even features some pretty interesting examples.

-This is a book about maintaining a good calorie intake every day and managing weight from that perspective with responsible choices, not being too restrictive, and leading a healthy and active lifestyle...again...common sense, but she explains it in a detailed and easy to access manner.

-I love her inclusion of online resources to managing calories as well!

-Finally, I think her maintenance and journal chapters are really helpful.

Overall I found the book simple, easy, and conversational with intelligent and common sense advice on how to maintain a good weight from someone who tried all the fads and found something that worked.
