One of the Random outdoor Art scenes in Charlotte |
On top of lovely scenery we also enjoyed some pretty tasty food. First, we had lunch at an Irish pub called The Ri Ra. The place was overwhelmingly packed to the walls with hundreds of Liverpool fans watching other football matches before the game (we even had some authentic Liverpoolians {is that even a word lol} try to bond with us in a drunken happy stupor). I of course had Guinness and shepherd's pie...because yea...
this stuff was fantastic |
The match was equally amazing.... I've not had so much fun in a long time and I have really grown to love the sport because of its rich history and tradition... I adore it.
Me about an hour and a half before the game...yea we got there early, the game had 69,300 in attendance |
Then we had to come back to Georgia and find more nonsensical things the state is doing in order to "save money" like...
Cut HOPE funding to people who really need it in this economy
There are many people who find themselves unable to find work in a more complicated and global economy, people who may have worked in the same industry for years and have little to no outside training...the opportunity to go back to school and obtain new skills is vital for some people and making that effort more affordable is key to maintaining a competitive work force.... It is sad when people cannot find jobs because they cannot afford to get the skills they need to get a job.
I am going to just leave that there... I had a good weekend, I am going to not let stupid ruin it.
