I found the board to be sturdy, durable, well-made, and perfect for almost every cutting job. The dug in wells around the boarder of the board ensure that each kitchen task will be mess free and nothing will escape the board and spill onto counters, this is a GREAT addition.

Product Review: Catania Occhiali Sunglasses

I am absolutely horrible on sunglasses. I treat them with a tiny amount of respect and consistently put them through an extreme amount of abuse...so I need inexpensive, classic, and easy to use sunglasses that I can replace when I break them without braking the bank.

As you can see, the glasses have a slight tint, they have a classic and simple design, and a small gold accent on the side. I like this because I can wear these glasses with any outfit, thus avoiding having to have multiple pairs. I also like the snugness of the glasses. They were comfortable and did not feel as if they were going to fall off my face. Finally, I found them to be surprisingly durable and able to take the daily abuse of being thrown into my bag or in the car when I am not using them.
Overall I found them to be a very good deal.
The glasses have a plastic frame and non-polarized plastic lenses.  They are great, everyday, fashionable sunglasses.

My Review:

I found the Fine Naturals Ultra Dark Cocoa Powder to be perfect for baking, it is fine quality, great tasting, and wonderful for any recipe. This certified organic and low temp processed cocoa powder has many benefits and works amazingly in recipes.
Here is my experience

1. I found the cocoa to have a perfect consistency, it blended well into my dry ingredients and did not clump.
2. The taste is rich, smooth, and not overwhelmingly bitter, meaning that it was processed with care and came from high quality cocoa beans.
3. This cocoa that went through a more refined process maintains its health benefits, which is a bonus and it lacks harmful pesticides.
4. The cake I made with this cocoa came out rich, flavorful, and well blended.

Headband Set Review

I do not like having hair in my eyes when I am doing errands, it drives me insane. I tested out some bands that worked pretty well at keeping my hair at bay, here is the review.

I found these bands to work in a variety of ways.

1, These bands are great when doing housework. I used them while I was mopping, sweeping, cleaning, and thus wanted to make sure I did not have to swipe my hair out of my eyes with cleaner all over my hands. The elastic band makes sure the cloth stays in place and does not need to be readjusted.

2. I used the bands when I exercised, I found that they did a good job at keeping hair and sweat out of my face.

3. I used them outside when I did yard work and gardening. What I noticed outside was the band's thin material did not add weight or make them uncomfortable in the horrific Georgia heat.

The Entire System

his stuff is great, all of the La Deessa Products work together to create a beauty routine that will keep your skin youthful, tight, and soft. The Serum I use in conjunction with night products and the eye serum and together this system produces great results. Each product is easily absorbs, has no bad fragrance, and works great. My skin is softer, with less lines, and a great deal tighter than before I started using it.
I recommend this for anyone who wants to try a new beauty routine.
I also really appreciate the amount of natural ingredients in this product, especially because I have very sensitive skin, this product did not agitate it at all.

Product Review: The Cloud Yoga Mat By PeakFulfillment

I love to exercise. With a stressful schedule and the continuous on the go pace of my life, it can become difficult to fit a workout in, but it keeps me sane and calm...so it is a must.
On top of an insane schedule....I have rheumatoid arthritis and because of this, high intensity workouts are a problem. Because of all of this, it is easy to fit a nice, relaxing, but helpful yoga routine into my daily efforts to stay in shape and remove stress.

When doing yoga, I have two requirements of a good mat... I want something that is very soft (because of the joint discomfort that comes with RA) and I would like something that is extremely sturdy....as it is almost daily that I have a toddler who also loves playing with said yoga mat and can put one through its paces rather quickly. Two yoga mats have met an early demise because of said toddler.

1. I found the mat to be soft and thick. The length at 76 inches is amazing and thus the mat gives you an incredible amount of space to work in with an 8mm thickness that feels as if you are working on a sturdy pillow. This was very helpful to me because of my joint issues, so this would be a great mat for people with joint or muscle pain who still like to do some low impact activities. 

2. The mat is very well made and thick (as I said before). This makes it sturdy and long lasting. I believe this mat will stand up better to constant use and travel.  Some of the less expensive and thinner mats do not last long and have to be replaced quickly. I do not think this will be the case with the Peak Fulfillment mat. It is not overly hefty, but it is not light either and thus it stands up to constant use. Furthermore, as a mother of a toddler who loves when I put a yoga mat down...it stands up fine to Toddler abuse lol. 

Ultimately, this is a high quality, extra long, very soft, but sturdy mat that provides an excellent amount of workspace for someone who enjoys yoga and other floor exercises. I found that the mat was so comfortable and thick that a yoga towel was not needed, it stands up well to use and abuse, the mat is easy to roll up, carry, and transport with its handy and sturdy strap...and it is great for people who have joint and muscle pain issues.

Product Review: Andre Lorent

It is our ultimate goal to look as young as we feel right? Or on the days when we feel ugh!, to still look young and fantastic.  I know there is this whole thing about growing old gracefully, and I just reject it to a point.... now, I am not in line to get botox or go under the knife, but anti-aging facial cream...totally acceptable. 


Today I am going to talk about my experience with Andre Lorent's Crazy Beautiful Face Cream which is an anti-aging and repair cream for your face. It is actually a pretty functional morning and night moisturizer and thus that is how I have used it over the past few weeks and so here are my thoughts and results. 

 The cream boasts a 100% paraben, SLS, and petro-chemical derivatives free formula, which means the cream is safer for the faces of those of us with more sensitive skin, or like me... someone whose skin ignites if anything touches it.  The cream also claims to use a five step process to ensure the maximum anti-aging and repair results by including Matrixyl, Argireline, Hyaluronic Acid, and Vitamins C & E.  This combination produces a soft, easily absorbed, and odorless cream that is easy to apply, easy to use, and that softens your skin.

Here are My Results:

I found that the cream does a great job of hydrating and keeping my skin tight and so after a week or so of usage, I did begin to notice a difference in the feel of my skin. I was not overly dry or oily and the elasticity in my skin had improved. 
The Makers of the cream encourage the user to apply a coat of the cream in the morning and evening immediately after your morning cleansing routine. I gently worked the cream into my face slowly with each application and used it as directed...in the morning and evenings. 
Immediate results include a cream that works dually as a very good moisturizer. I found the Lorent cream enabled me to use it as a beauty cream AND moisturizer, thus making my routine easier and more affordable. The cream has no particular odor, it goes on rather smoothly (though it is thick...so if you like thinner moisturizers, just use this as directed as a beauty cream) and it absorbs quickly, meaning no lengthy period of residue. 
Within a few weeks I noticed my fine lines were disappearing, my wrinkles had improved dramatically, and my pores had become smaller as my face appeared smoother. 

Overall I found this cream to be very effective and perfect for people with sensitive skin, as I experienced no irritation during the test period.  After this, I fully intend to use Andre Lorent in the future as part of my regular beauty routine.

     Today I am going to be looking at Peels & Petals Anti-Aging Moisturizer with Matrixyl for all skin types. 
 I have tried the moisturizer for almost a month now, so I feel as if I can give a comprehensive and detailed review of its results and how I turned out using it.

My Personal Results

I have two problems with my skin that makes it quite difficult to find a sufficient and well performing moisturizer. First, I have very oily skin and this can cause a huge problem with overly oily moisturizers that leave my skin feeling oily and more prone to breakouts. Second, my skin is ultra sensitive, and at times, is so sensitive that I have to use special soaps just to wash or it will be painful and break-out. With this in mind I always try moisturizers that boast an ease of use for sensitive skin or all skin types so when I read this, I was hopeful, but not expectant...because I am often let down.

1. My oily skin was not a problem with the Peels & Petals moisturizer, it actually worked great and did not leave my skin feeling oily at all. The moisturizer is thicker and absorbs quickly, leaving little to no residue. This means that it does not clog or add to any sort of oil on my face. I found that VERY impressive....I also liked the fresh/clean fragrance.

2. As for my sensitive skin...for the most part, it did not agitate my skin very much or at all. My skin can be more sensitive on some days than others, and there were a few times when I felt a slight bit of agitation from the product after application, but that was not every day and it was not enough to where I felt like I needed to discontinue my usage or that it was the moisturizer itself causing the agitation. Overall, I thought that Peels & Petals stayed true to its promise.

3. My skin felt hydrated and tighter after a few weeks of usage. I will admit I am most impressed with the lack of residue or oily feeling after application with the result of a hydrated face that is not sticky or shiny. I have no skin tone issues, so I cannot speak to dark spot removal or management...but overall I felt this moisturizer did the job and worked rather well.

Peels & Petals is a great product and worth the money....if you are looking for a hydrating and anti-aging cream that does not leave your face oily...this is the one for you.

A Phone Case That Handles Me

Now I wish I could with all honesty say that I am gentle on my phone...but that would be completely dishonest, a down and dirty lie.
I am HORRIBLE on phones... I drop them, I toss them in my purse, I scrape them... I am a phone demolisher on some occasions.

(We once had to stand in line at an apple store while on vacation because I cracked the back glass of my old phone into pieces while walking through a shopping mall...the apple people were super nice about it though)

I have tried a variety of cases over the time I've owned my iphone6. I like cases that provide security without making my phone 10 times bigger and I think I found the perfect little case with Primed4U's two-layer iphone case. 

The case is gold and black, which I will have to say I did not really love at first, but I have grown to like its toned down look and metallic appearance. 1. I dropped my phone quite a few times while using this case and my phone has remained safe. Furthermore, the case itself has maintained a sturdy appearance and does not have many surface scratches and I have seen no fading in the outer plastic color or discoloration of the rubber inner bumper layer.

How often do you find yourself at a loss when looking for your spare phone cable? Maybe it is my mom brain or the fact that I am consistently forgetting everything...but this happens to me quite a lot and can become a real problem when my family is heading out on vacation or even a short trip.

What I like about this product:

1. The cable lights up and is a quirky way to charge your apple products. The colors are brightest at the two ends of the charger and slowly transform as it is plugged in to a variety of colors...blues, violets, greens...its actually pretty fun to watch.

2. The cable's light up capabilities have also other uses that one may not immediately think about upon first glance. This thing is great in unfamiliar surroundings (like a hotel room during vacations) because it lights up and thus you would be able to easily find your phone in the dark without disturbing someone sleeping in the same room. I recently discovered this bonus during a trip to Disney World and found the cable's light up capabilities to be very useful while also being fun to look at.

3. The cable is very long, a meter long to be exact, and thus is very useful. I like that is it is longer than standard and shorter chargers, which often limit where you can charge your device, I had no such problems with this cable because it enabled me to plug something up and keep it on a surface even if the surface was tall or further away.

4. The cable charged my apple products rather quickly, which I really enjoyed...especially during vacation where short stops to nap also meant short stops to charge dying batteries because of heavy usage of my camera on my phone while in amusement parks. I found that the cable quickly charged both my iphone6 and my ipad mini 3 without any problem.

Overall this is a great and useful cable that has multiple functions while being fun to look at.

Product Review: Coffee Crazy's Organic Fair Trade French Roast, Columbian Coffee, and Espresso Blends

As a student, wife, mother, and part-time bookseller/substitute teacher, I have to be awake and alert most of the day and often into the evening. So, it is safe to assume that I am very fond of coffee and need it on a constant basis throughout the day (yay for those recent studies that say coffee is good for you). 
I want a strong, dark, and flavorful brew that is also product conscious. A coffee that is both organic and fair trade makes me feel better about where my money goes.

My Observations:

The first thing I noticed about this coffee when opening the sealed package was the burst of nutty aroma that came from the package. The fragrance was strong and pleasing, illustrating a good and deep roast of the beans.  The beans were also dark, evenly sized and colored and had a shining appearance, releasing those fragrant oils. I used a coarse grind for my regular drip coffee maker and the grind produced amazing results.

 I did four scoops with a six cup water prep and this produced my perfect cup of coffee, dark, but not overly bitter, fragrant, and maintaining that nutty taste/smell throughout. The coffee was delightfully aromatic, tasted fresh, and provided that energy I need on a daily basis. 

Overall, This French Roast is sufficiently dark, very fresh, roasted perfectly and a wonderful addition to your morning coffee routine. I think the high quality of beans and a careful preparation results in a great cup of coffee that is socially conscious and does not carry the weight of unknown pesticides.

Here are my thoughts:
1. like the other coffee, these beans are high quality and produce a lovely and deep aroma. The espresso blend is a little lighter and less oily than the French roast, but produces a wonderfully pleasing fine grind when you need espresso for lattes, mochas, or just plain shots.  I would also recommend this if you were looking for a dark daily coffee, you can easily grind it to fit your paper coffee filters and it produces a strong, but smooth cup.  Again I love the fair trade and organic aspect of this coffee and for the price, you are getting an amazing deal. 

 Now it is time to talk about my favorite of this whole experiment.... Colombian Coffee

This brew wins for the most fragrant and best aroma while producing a wonderfully amazing and complex cup. I used this in a French Press and a regular Coffee Maker to amazing results. The dark coffee is not as dark as the French Roast, but still has a strong and pleasing taste. I could smell this blend all day. It produced an amazingly strong, but smooth cup that resulted in the drinking of an entire 4 Cup French Press batch last time I had it.  The beans grind well and just make the entire kitchen smell amazing while in the process.  Just an amazing product.

I have embraced less intensive exercise over the last few years because with having RA, too intense equals pain and damage to my joints. Yoga is a great and relaxing alternative to some other rigorous forms of exercise and it keeps me calm, even during stressful school semesters.

The towel is versatile and very soft. I used it with a traditional yoga mat and as a stand alone on my carpet (I prefer the stand alone because bulky yoga mats are a pain and since I do my routine on the carpet, it provides ample cushion).  The towel comes in a neutral deep gray color that I found very pleasing. It will go with any yoga mat and not clash.

First...

This towel is designed for yoga mats up to 24x72 in size. This is perfect for your average sized person and I had no issues with staying on the towel at all. The grips work amazingly well with the mats and once I set the towel down and stretched it to cover the mat, it stayed in place and provided an extra soft workspace. As a standalone on carpet, the towel also performs exceptionally well, it provides a soft base and the grips also work well to hold the towel's place on the carpet, which was awesome!

This towel also has another great feature that will be helpful for my readers who practice yoga in a classroom or studio environment and use studio provided mats.  The towel helps protect the user from the spread of germs. The grips and the fabrics provide a thin, but useful layer of protection for your skin while on another mat.

Overall I found the towel to be soft, well made, and very versatile. Its light weight means that your routine will not have added bulk when already carrying a mat and if you are practicing yoga at home, you can use the towel on carpet for great results.

1. The earbuds are quite comfortable, the earpiece has a unique design that not only sits in your ear more securely, but feels comfortable against the skin. To ensure great wear and a perfect fit, the earbuds come with three sizes of outer cases and outdoor stabilizers to ensure that the buds stay in place regardless of how rigorous your activity is. I found this to be very useful because I have unusually small ears, and thus some brands of earbuds just do not fit in my ears... I did not have this problem with the Silicon Devices pair.

2. The Bluetooth function on the headphones is pretty easy to operate. Holding the neon green button on the side of your buds activates the bluetooth and it connected with ease to my iphone6 and my ipad mini. The sound was amazing and the connection was strong. I have never had a problem with static or interruption of sound while using the treadmill with these buds. 

3. The buds also come with a well made charging cord and a very nice case for the system. I love the case because it protects my entire set of buds when I am on the go. The case is a real bonus. 

4. Besides Security, sound is a priority... these earbuds have volume buttons on the sides of the headphones, which makes changing the volume during your daily workout much easier than fumbling for your phone and having to stop just to make the music louder or softer. 

It is important to note that this set also has a built in microphone and so you can also use these to answer your phone while running...not interrupting your routine.


Overall I found these headphones to be solid, durable, the provided good sound and comfort while also making the daily workout less of a hassle.
